The new Directionals are available!

Small waves - big waves, shore break - reef break, powerful swell - less powerful swell, fast waves - slow waves, and so on. The variety of conditions in wave riding are endless. Even more important to have the right choice of boards for any conditions all over the world. Getting barreled with the Kontact in Mauritius, rippin your local shorebreak with the Whip, going on a kite and surftip just with one board, the Whip Xsurf or even just play around on flat water with the Nugget. It doesn't matter what you're up to, you'll find exactly the right board for your needs and wishes.
Since a long time North Kiteboarding is putting a lot of effort into the development of wave boards. Every year again, Sky Solbach, North Kiteboarding legend and wave board shaper is trying to find new directions and ideas to make every single board even better then the year before. Also this year we're using the well tested bamboo construction, although the designs just show a little bit of Bamboo, as it was the time to do a step forward in progressional board design. Even in contests, any team rider is just using production boards, also proofing quality and performance in this special field. Just recently with four top 3 results in Mens and Womens at the KSP wave tour in Mauritius.
Boards for the Pros, but also for anybody looking forward to the next trip or the weekend to finally enjoy the closest home spot with the most amazing boards. Join the next test event and convince yourself!
North Kiteboarding does it again!

North Kiteboarding does it again. For the last two years, the AWSI has met to decide the kiteboarding brand of the year for North America, and once again the North Kiteboarding USA boys have brought home the hardware.
Congratulations to the NKB USA crew and North Kiteboarding International for being voted best kiteboarding brand in North America two years running.
Craig Cunningham, welcome to the team!

I'm very excited to be an International Team member of the largest brand in the industry now, North Kiteboarding! North Kiteboarding continues to push the sport in every direction and have recently made a major statement by collaborating with Ronix to produce a kiteboarding specific boot to go along with the Gambler board! I'm super stoked to be riding/promoting this setup along with the Vegas for 2013 and to work with North Kiteboarding for the upcoming year on a lot of different projects! Really couldn't be more happy to be part of NKB and everything they stand for… TRUE KITEBOARDING! Thanks again for everything! Let's blow it up for 2013!!!
The Champions of One Eye!!!
Le Morne, the one eyed monster - Domesticated by the North Kiteboarding Wave Team!
Also the second year the KSP stopped in Mauritius and took place in epic conditions. Day 9 showed the finals at the One Eye Kite Surf Pro. The women’s final saw a repeat victory from local Ninja Bichler (GER, North), dominating her home break. 3 times world champion Kirsty Jones was a bit unlucky with conditions but still managed to achieve a respectful third place and was showing her impressive hard style and beautiful barrels also in the expression session. The men’s side saw underdog Patri McLaughlin (HI, North) take down reigning world champion Airton Cozzolino (ITA, North) nailing the only perfect 10 of the competition in the dying moments of the final.
In the marquee matchup of the day, the men’s final promised to be the best heat of the event and it did not disappoint. The powerful Cozzolino was pitted against the barrel-hunting McLaughlin in a final that saw several lead changes and some of the most impressive tube rides of the event. McLaughlin got off to a great start with an opening wave score of 6.83 to Cozzolino’s 4.5. However, Cozzolino answered back with an 8.5 to give him the lead at the midpoint of the final.
McLaughlin’s never-say-die attitude finally paid off in the final moments of the heat with the event title on the line. Pulling into a seemingly un-makeable barrel, McLaughlin emerged claiming the first 10-point ride of the competition. Cozzolino scored a 7.5 late in the heat, but was unable to overtake McLaughlin for the title of the One Eye Kite Surf Pro.
“I’m so stoked right now I don’t even know what to say”, said the overwhelmed McLaughlin. “I got the biggest closeout barrel of my life in that final, and I am just so happy to be here.”
